This past weekend was another big one for the MABRA Super 8 Series as competitors competed with one another and the course at the Schooley Mill ‘Cross event. The weather was great, the competition fast, and the blogs, lies and race reports filled with tales of heroism and greatness (and a little pain).
- Fatmarc Vanderbacon had some simple goals for the weekend: don’t break anything and have a rad race. He did both of these things and has some great pictures.
- Whenever someone says they are “tired of getting on the podium” all the time, I just get sad at my own failures. But that’s what it’s like for the Bike Nerds.
- This Might Hurt thinks of Schooley Mill as a “course for roadies” except for the absurdly tall horse barrier, which is, of course, a barrier for horses.
- He throws the “g-word” in there, but I Am Mike also got a better result this week. One point better unless you try to work out the cryptic algorithm for awarding points, which he sort of does.
- “Man should not be defined by his laundry.” Stick Boy Bike doesn’t have a race report per se but this quote alone merits your attention.
